I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. I received a degree in biology from Pacific Lutheran University, a DDS degree from the University of Washington, then completed my master's and specialty certificate in periodontics from Oregon Health Sciences University. I specialize in advanced surgical procedures including but not limited to: IV sedation, dental implants, implant dentures, soft tissue surgeries, periodontal surgeries, wisdom teeth, bone grafts, sinus lifts and minor reconstructions. Starting in 2024 I have been serving as an associate professor and Director of Periodontics and Implants at PNWU School of Dental Medicine.
As a father of 3, I balance clinical practice, family life, and staying very physically active. My hobbies include playing the guitar, reading, and politics. Interests in sports go back to my childhood where I was an accomplished martial artist, a high school and collegiate track athlete, and more recently competing in Muay Thai kickboxing matches and submission wrestling tournaments.
I always have had a great passion for outreach. Through participation and leadership I received numerous awards while in dental school for my devotion to the underserved communities of the Mt. Vernon farm camps and poor communities in Longview, WA. In recent years I was presented with the Heart of a Social Worker Award from the Veterans Administration for his work with combat veterans of foreign wars. I also helped found the Partners in Diversity Endowed Scholarship.

I am the founder of Affordable Dental Care. This company was established to provide standard of care dentistry in a comfortable environment at greatly reduced fees. Throughout the years Affordable Dental Care has partnered with many dentists from a very diverse group of professionals. I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1975 with a degree in engineering technology and continued my education receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1986 from Marquette University. I used my knowledge of materials to enhance my passion in dentistry.
I have been placing dental implants for over 20 years and enjoy this part of dentistry most. I feel that no other discipline of dental work changes patients' ability to eat and smile as comfortably after tooth loss as implants do. I also hold a permit for intravenous conscious sedation in order to help patients who exhibit dental anxiety. I have a wife and three children and enjoy woodworking projects when time allows.
